Bluetti Charger 2 D+ Signal Wire Common Questions

Here's a quick and easy to follow Q & A for the Bluetti Charger 2 regarding the D+ Signal Cable

Do I need a D+ Signal Cable?

If your vehicle has a smart alternator it is a good idea to use the D+ Signal Cable as it will directly tell the charger 2 when the alternator is running and allow for smoother operation.

If your vehicle does not have a smart alternator the Charger 2 should monitor the voltage of the battery and shut off when the voltage drops too low or the engine shuts off.

Which pin is positive on the D+ port?

The top pin is the positive connection (the pin closest to the D+ symbol on the Charger 2.) Some users on forums have reported only needing to wire the positive cable (top) in and are able to ignore the negative (bottom) cable.

For this image, the positive pin is on the top, nearest to the D+ symbol.

What is the connector called so I can make my own cable?

The easiest way to find the connector is to google "2 pin 5.08mm terminal block." There are many different brands to choose from.

Example found online of a 2 pin 5.08mm terminal block.

What AWG is recommended for making my own D+ cable?

Bluetti recommend 24-AWG.
